On 24 and 25 September 2018, the Danish inter-municipal waste management company AVV serving two Danish municipalities visited the City of Brussels and its surroundings under the framework of a study visit on setting up effective repair and reuse systems, granted by the TAIEX-EIR Peer-2-Peer EU Programme with the support of Municipal Waste Europe and Bruxelles Environnement. This knowledge exchange entailed information about the legislative framework, incentives, promotion of reuse and repair networks as well how to establish a functioning infrastructure. Site visits provided practical insight in the management of repair and reuse businesses as well as the cooperation with social enterprises.
